• Participation in the Regional Pole of Thessaly with successful interactions with local textile industries
• Provided consulting services to local industries on design and analysis of metallic structures
• Established of the materials testing facility of the Laboratory of Micromechanics, Materials and Nanostructures

Research Team 2: ICT Systems, Services and Applications

Main Accomplishments:

• Developed an excellence record of research achievements and funding.
• Provide the first publically available
  • On-line news filtering system that is auto-adapted, self-controlled and does not suffer from the curse-of-dimensionality.
  • High performance scientific computing services that are based on the Service Oriented Architecture paradigm, follows the web services standards and offered through our clusters and/or Amazon EC2 and S3.
• Developed distributed computing platforms on heterogeneous networks and mobile devices including sensors.

• Design and development of innovative sensor microsystems of extremely low power consumption which can be integrated in standardized RFID / Labels
