Laboratory of Micromechanics, Materials and Nanostructures

Field: The laboratory develops methodologies and provides services for the automatic characterization and simulation of material. It uses advanced experimental techniques for the characterization of materials and the development of constitutive models that describe their mechanical behavior. The constitutive models are also implemented in commercial finite element codes, such as ABAQUS, used for the design and analysis of structures and machine components.

Short Description of IMTRONICS’ Laboratories and Research Teams

The Mechatronics Institute has been designed to support the fast design/development and certification of original Mechatronics products, the education/training in the sector of Mechatronics technology (placing emphasis on the non-traditional applications), to provide services in the related to Mechatronics local industry, to do research and provide services in innovative applications, and the infiltration in new sources of European funding. Specifically, the initial research activities of IMT...
